Foss & Company was born out of the desire to help people transform their homes in an environment that is honest, kind and professional. We love our home of Greater Portland, and we’re excited at every opportunity to meet our neighbors and bring their remodel or new construction idea to life.
We offer a full general contracting service. When we are contacted by a homeowner, we will move through the assessment, estimate, contract and job fulfillment process. Our estimates are based off experience and our aim is to provide you with an honest and accurate estimate of time and cost that does not blindside you toward the end of the job.
Foss & Company will manage the full scope of your remodel, build, or custom carpentry. We hire a team of highly skilled and professional subcontractors in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, drywall, roofing, HVAC, or any other trade.
We take pride in our quality of work. Your home requires a high level of care and attention to detail. Our aim is to achieve your vision with the highest quality and efficiency.
When we are in your home, we maintain organization and cleanliness. Since your home is already disturbed by the renovation, the least we can do is minimize the chaos.
We only hire carpenters and subcontractors we trust will uphold our values and quality of work.

Isaac Foss
Founder/CEO
Originally from Limington, Maine, Isaac lives in North Yarmouth with his wife, Lucy. He enjoys the serenity of the woods as well as the wildlife around their home, and he likes to spend his mornings sipping coffee on the front porch while listening to the birds and spending time in prayer. Isaac and Lucy like to go on weekend road trips to explore New England.
Since starting the company in 2022, Isaac has worn many hats. He’s been a carpenter, a project manager, and a CEO. He’s proud of what the business has grown into. Not only do people enjoy working on his team, but clients trust his team with their homes. Isaac’s favorite parts of the job are meeting community members, working with skilled tradesmen, and ensuring high quality craftsmanship.
Josh Otte
Project Manager
Raised in Maine, Josh has lived in Casco for almost twenty years. He and his wife, Heidi, have three sons. He can’t imagine living away from Maine’s ocean, lakes, forests, or mountains. When he’s not fishing, backpacking into Baxter State Park, camping in Acadia, or serving at his local church, he likes to pour a hot cup of coffee and practice Celtic guitar.
At Foss & Company, Josh oversees current and upcoming jobs and ensures that they are completed with efficiency and excellence. He enjoys that his role, which blends management and onsite work, allows him to work with a team to give our clients the best experience throughout their projects.
Abby Wengert
General Manager
Along with her brother, Isaac, Abby grew up in Limington, Maine. She and her husband, Zac, live in Saco. She’s particularly fond of autumn and winter in Maine, and she loves trying new gluten free recipes and reading historical fiction.
Abby joined the Foss & Company team to run the back end of the business; her role includes HR, marketing, communication, and financial management. She enjoys that her role challenges her to use a lot of different skill sets.
